MCS Fire has the necessary SABS approval required to carry out maintenance work on all types of fire equipment, hose reels and hydrants.
In terms of the requirements, all of our Service Technicians are registered and approved as competent by the SAQCC (Fire) and carry their necessary identification cards.
All work is carried out by trained personnel in accordance with SANS 1475, SANS 10105 and SANS 10400 specifications. Our service vehicles are fully equipped enabling our technicians to carry out their work on site. If extinguishers have to be taken away for hydrostatic pressure testing or repairs, our company policy is to leave loan units in their place and ensure that wherever possible, the clients units are returned within 48 hours.
As a member of the MCS Management Solutions Group, we are able to offer maintenance contracts on a nationwide basis.
Important information:
For your protection and peace of mind, we would like to draw your attention to the following which is important to both the Service Provider and the Customer, as they are both legally compelled to comply with these requirements in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (1993)
- All fire equipment may only be maintained by a Service Company holding the SABS 1475 Mark.
- All service technicians must work for a SABS 1475 Mark holding Company and must be registered with the SAQCC (Fire) and carry an Identification Card as proof of registration.
Please ask to see proof of these items, as by utilising the services of a non-registered Company or Service Technician you render yourself liable for prosecution under the OHS Act of 1993.
